Our Matte Copper glaze is arguably our most versatile finish. No two pieces will ever be exactly alike, making each one a truly individual work of functional art. During the Raku firing, flashes of blue, gold, red, and green emerge naturally across the surface, creating remarkable depth and movement without any layered glaze application. Every piece develops differently depending on how oxygen reaches the ceramic as it cools. By carefully controlling the reduction process and selectively reintroducing oxygen, we create vibrant transitions of color that make each pendant completely one of a kind.

The photographs in this listing represent the style of firing we intentionally pursue, emphasizing bright copper tones paired with rich blues and greens for a lively, sculptural appearance. Combined with our custom solid brass hardware and hand-selected opal glass diffuser, the finished lights become the centerpieces of the room.

We designed the hardware to visually disappear, concealing the socket and internal components so your attention stays on the handcrafted ceramic, the soft glow of the glass, and the subtle brass accents that tie everything together. Whether installed over a kitchen island, dining table, bedside, or entryway, this ceramic pendant light brings warmth, craftsmanship, and character to any space.
