Our White Crackle finish is one of the most understated pieces we make, bringing together quiet elegance and the unpredictable beauty of the Raku firing process. The soft white surface is accented by delicate carbon-filled crackle patterns that give each light subtle depth and organic movement. From across the room it feels calm, clean, and timeless, while up close the intricate network of fine lines reveals the handcrafted nature of every piece. Paired with our custom solid brass hardware and opal glass diffuser, the result is a sculptural pendant that blends naturally into a space while still rewarding a closer look.

The finish begins as our own custom-formulated crackle glaze, designed specifically for Raku firing. After the piece is fired to 1,800°F, it is placed into a reduction chamber where fine cracks naturally develop throughout the glaze. Carbon and ash work their way into these tiny openings, creating the distinctive spiderweb patterns that make every pendant one of a kind. Because no two firings behave exactly the same, every White Crackle light develops its own unique character while retaining its clean, understated appearance.
